What is a Gilda's Club Member

Membership at Gilda’s Club is for
anyone touched by cancer. We know cancer affects families – not individuals
– so membership is open to the person living with
cancer, and equally, to family & friends of those living with cancer, and
family & friends of those who have died from cancer. We’re open to women &
men, children & teens, and any type of cancer.
Membership is easy and FREE. The
first step is to attend a
New Member Meeting, which
includes a tour of the
Clubhouse and a
detailed explanation of our innovative program. It all takes about 90
minutes. Being a member of Gilda’s Club entitles you to everything we offer.
You can search our National Cancer Institute database with updated
information about cancer; you can check out books, DVDs or CDs from our
lending library; you can attend
Workshops and Lectures with experts from the community who will teach
you self-care, mind-body skills, or the latest in cancer treatments.
Membership also means you can participate in a monthly
Networking Group, or after a
short meeting with
Program
Staff, a weekly
Support Group. And best of all,
membership means not being alone. You can join other members at our monthly
Social Events, such as “Grill & Games,”
and “Gilda’s Got Talent,” or just hang out with other members who “get it”
as no one else can.
