Workshops are hands-on, self-care
activities offered to teach members new skills, such as
Relaxation & Guided Imagery, or keep
minds busy and creative, such as arts &
crafts,
or to practice mind-body skills, such as yoga.
Workshops are offered throughout the month, some on a regular basis, and
some just once. Keep an eye on the
Calendar for workshops that
interest or challenge you.

For more formal learning, lectures are offered a few times a month by community volunteers
who are experts in their field. For example, we’ve had lectures on
nutrition, advances in treatment, how to handle difficult emotions, or
afternoon gatherings called “Lunch & Learn” on various topics, such as
genetics & cancer and lymphedema.
We also offer an easy-to-use database called
CancerHelp where members can search for reliable
information about cancer, self-care, clinical trials, support, from data
compiled by the National Cancer Institute.
Through a grant from the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure Madison
Affiliate, this database is updated monthly. This is a great resource to
find specific and reliable information.

Our lending Library and
brochure aisle include books, CDs, DVDs, and various community resources.
Come check it out!

Check out the
for our upcoming workshops and lectures.
