- A healthcare professional, with at least two years
experience with group facilitation. This includes Counselors, Social
Workers, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician’s Assistants, and
RN’s. A basic understanding of the specified cancer diagnosis or
pertinent topic is required. Knowledge of the local community and cancer
support services preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.
Facilitation of a monthly group focused on a cancer diagnosis or a specified
topic. The purpose of the meeting is to share information and provide mutual
support. Meeting length is 90 minutes.

-Facilitating discussion about the specific diagnosis or
topic and how it impacts the participants’ lives.
-Maintaining attendance sheets, group notes, and encouraging continued
participation of attendees.
-Working with Gilda's Club Madison staff to increase member use of the
clubhouse and community awareness of Gilda’s Club.
-Submitting a monthly invoice to the GC Executive Director for that
month’s work activity.
-Available for day and/or evening hours as group schedule dictates.
-Participating in orientation to Gilda’s Club
philosophy and mission.
-Communicating with the Program Manager with regard to group issues.
-Attending weekly peer supervision strongly encouraged.
